Why does the page show "No NMVTIS record found"?
If you order a free VIN report and get a message saying "No NMVTIS record found", it could be due to any of the following:
  • The VIN is incorrect or input incorrectly.
  • The VIN is not in the NVMTIS database (because the title state does not provide data to NVMTIS; the title state is updating in batch mode and the information hasn’t fully processed; or the VIN is not legitimately in any state’s motor vehicle data).
What happens if I lose my report?
After you run a free VIN check online, you may desire to order a full report. Once you do, you can access it online anytime for the next 60 days: Go to "My Account" and click “History.” Click the date of the desired report to view it.
